CHARLOTTE, N.C., Nov. 16, 2011 –Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools will begin the second phase of its superintendent search process with a series of community meetings. The district will hold six meetings Dec. 5 – 8 and community members will have an opportunity to discuss criteria for the new leader through structured, small-group discussions.
We have surpassed 40 legislative days at the North Carolina General Assembly. Though we have worked at a dizzying pace, we remain focused on getting more money into your pockets by right-sizing the government and getting it out of the way of the job creating private sector.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools will operate on a normal schedule Friday, Jan. 14. Friday will also be the first day of EOC exams. All school, athletic, after school enrichment programs and all community use of schools events will run as scheduled.
