Ballantyne, NC – The Morrison Family YMCA at Ballantyne will host their 2nd Annual Ducky Derby event on Saturday, July 24th to benefit their Annual Giving Campaign. This Ducky Derby event will race several hundred rubber ducks across the pool to raise money for our Annual Giving Campaign and help to support youth and teen programming, such as Afterschool and youth sports, at our Simmons YMCA located in East Charlotte. The ducks get a little help with the Morrison YMCA’s friends over at Fire Station 32, who will be assisting in the spraying the ducks to the finish line.
Members and Non-members can purchase ducks individually or by the “flock” to enter the Derby and support the campaigns efforts. Ducks will be available for purchase at the Morrison YMCA for the next 2 weeks and up to the day of the event. Ducks can be decorated at the pool on July 24th, starting at 10:00 AM on the pool deck. Participants are not required to be present to enter or win.
