The building will stand next to the completed Irby and Hayes buildings and will include a parking deck. The Irby building is about 65% leased and the Hayes building has yet to be leased since it was completed in the fall of 2008. According to Curran, they have only recently made the Hayes building available for leasing wanting to concentrate on leasing the Boyle and Harris buildings first. Those buildings are now leased to Premier and Lance.
The new Everett Building, named after Charlotte civic leader Mac Everett, will be six stories overlooking the 12th hole of the golf course and will include a 3 story 1,200 space parking deck.

“Ballantyne is a star in the crown of our city and we need jobs now more than ever which is what this will provide.”
Susan Burgess – Charlotte City Council
Construction is set to be completed by December 2010.
Bob Morgan, of the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce, stated that “this is a new day and a new year and that they are working aggressively to bring more companies to the Charlotte area”.
The Bissell Company has a history of speculative building in the Ballantyne area that has paid off. Many in Charlotte thought they were making risky decisions when they first began the development of the Ballantyne area. Ballantyne is now home to over 80,000 people with booming retail and corporate centers.
Cox & Schepp Construction Company will be doing the work and the building is already underway. There are future plans of adding an additional building next to the Everett.
