The Ballantyne Scoop is pleased to announce that Caroline Adams will be joining the site as a Contributing Reporter and Marketing Specialist, bringing an exciting dynamic to our growing network of community based websites.

Caroline’s background includes working as the marketing director for a community shopping center, where she developed community events, was responsible for advertising campaigns, public relations, website maintenance, and research. During her tenure there, she was nominated for the International Council of Shopping Centers Maxi Award for Marketing Excellence two consecutive years– 2007 and 2008. She received the Silver Award in 2007 for her American Red Cross Fundraiser, Fashion + Passion. In June of 2009 Caroline was awarded the Hugh Griffith Humanitarian Honor Roll designation for her contributions to the American Red Cross.

She is currently on the Board of Directors for the American Red Cross of Union and Anson Counties and the Tourism Development Authority for Monroe, NC.

Caroline’s passion is working in the community supporting both business and non-profit development through creative marketing strategies. This creativity is apparent when you meet Caroline, as she can easily be recognized by her very high heels, her pink MacBook computer and iPhone. Don’t be fooled by this persona, however. When not sporting her heels and computer, she can be found at the Monroe Aquatics Center or the Morrison YMCA working out—a habit she cultivated in childhood.

“Finding a way to incorporate a non-profit organization into the fabric of a business is my greatest passion,”

says Caroline. “When you can partner two groups with shared ideals, you will be successful every time.”

“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Steve Sherron and The Scoop Network. I feel that hyper-local news outlets are the way of the future.”

Caroline is a graduate of the University of South Carolina. She currently resides in Ballantyne where she has lived for 10 years.

A Network Is Born

Along with the addition of Caroline, a network of community websites are born. We call our community based websites The Scoop Network. It’s a group of hyper local websites in Union County and South Charlotte committed to providing very relevant information to a designated community. We have recently added:

The Indian Trail Scoop

The Monroe Scoop

Each website in The Scoop Network will showcase the local community in which it serves. As news outlets are becoming more regional and less local, these websites will offer an opportunity for communities to showcase their events and businesses. Each site will cover local news, events and videos, that normally can’t be found in the main stream media outlets.

All of our sites link together providing wide coverage and publicity for those we serve. Organizations seeking publicity for their causes and events will benefit greatly when seeking publicity. Advertisers may benefit the most from our network of community sites. We can broadcast your message directly to your target audience…your local community.

Submitting a news story or community event is free and easy. You can find a submit news tab at the top menu bar on each web site. All submissions will be considered for front page featured articles. If you have a flyer or press release, please submit using our convenient form.

Please consider joining our Facebook Fan Page and Follow us on Twitter.

If you have a business and are interested in marketing or advertising packages please contact Caroline Adams at caroline@ballantynescoop.com. Marketing and advertising packages include, but are not limited to, video profile production, website advertising, referral programs, social media campaigns and event management.
